The Village of Cross Plains is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov services as another convenient way for residents to communicate with us. You can sign up to receive message notifications whenever the Village needs to get a message out such as road work, snow emergencies, garbage updates, etc. This smart texting solution works with regular SMS texting so no app or download is needed! TextMyGov uses a mobile phone's regular messaging service as a simple way for us to interact with the public and for residents to relay information to Village staff.

Residents will be able to obtain information on zoning and building permits, and easily report code violations, public works issues like potholes, road damage, sign down, drainage problems and more. The Village will also be able to engage residents, start a workflow and ask specific guided questions regarding location, address, street name, etc. You will also have the ability, in some cases, to upload a photo (for a pothole for example).

What to Expect:

  • After the initial keyword is sent, you will receive a confirmation message asking you to reply YES to verify opt-in.
