Village Hall:
Village Hall is currently open for normal business hours. We are encouraging residents with non urgent matters to call or email us. Bill-pay and fee payments should be done online or dropped off at the lock box at the front of the building. Village Hall will continue to be open for absentee voting.
Village Board and Committee meetings:
All non-essential Village committee meetings will be cancelled indefinitely.
Governor Evers’ office has provided guidance that local government meeting are exempt from the declaration limiting mass gatherings. With that being said, the Village of Cross Plains will take the necessary steps to follow the guidance provided by the Department of Justice on open meetings.
Until further notice, all future village board and committee meetings will be held at the public library community room to provide as much spacing as possible. Agenda items will be limited to essential items only. We are working on a teleconferencing solution so that interested parties may call in to listen to the meeting. Draft minutes and video recordings of the meetings will be posted on the Village’s website within 3 days following the meeting.
We have set up a WebEx teleconference line for the public to monitor the meetings by phone or through the WebEx link. This line is limited to 100 participants. Although we will well not be video live-streaming the meeting, I will provide options for the public to comment.
The teleconference line will be open for the public comment section of the agenda. To limit interruption and participants talking over each other, the teleconference line will be muted for the rest of the meeting. Participants may still listen. Participants should have the opportunity to inform the Village Board during the public comment section if they have a comment on an agenda item. Participants will also have an opportunity to email me their comments or questions during the meeting. Emails can be sent to bchang@cross-plains.wi.us. The chat box will also open on the WebEx site for comment and question.
Please contact ahead of time if you have any questions about accessing the meeting this evening.
The community room at the public library will be set up to observe social distancing.
