The Village of Cross Plains contracts with Johnson Inspection for our building inspection needs.
Recently, Johnson Inspection has gone online with their building permits. You can now apply on the JI Portal: www.jiportal.com and pay for your permit online.
Some building permits are handled within the Village Office. Projects like fences, sheds, re-roofing, re-siding, water softeners and new windows (staying the same size as the old windows), are projects that will require a different permit and do not need to be applied for through the JI Portal.
Building permit application - Village Staff review - Please use this form when applying for re-roofing, re-siding, water softeners and new windows (staying the same size as the old windows) permits.
Fence/Shed Permit Applicaiton - Please use this form when applying for a fence or shed permit.
