[ARCHIVED] Looking to run for Village Board or Village President?

Local candidates

Have you ever thought about running for Village Board or Village President? Ever wondered what the position entailed? Now is the time to find out!
There will be 3 Village Trustee seats on the ballot this coming spring. They are currently held by Judy Kelter-Ketelboeter, Andy Hartman and Doug Brunner. This is a two-year term position. Trustees are asked to attend Village Board meetings once a month and are appointed to a committee (different for each trustee) and must attend those committee meetings once a month (for a total of two meetings a month). You must be a Village resident to run for these positions.
The position of Village President will be up for re-election as well. This position is currently held by Jay Lengfeld and is also a two-year term position. The Village President usually attends 3-4 meetings per month. You must be a Village resident to run for this position.

Important dates to remember:
-November 29- Local Candidate Nomination papers and Information Packet available for pick-up at the Village Office.
-December 1- First day for candidates to circulate nomination papers.
-December 23- Last day (5:00pm) for incumbents not seeking re-election to file Notification of Non-Candidacy with the Village Clerk.
-January 3- Last day (5:00PM) for candidates to file nomination papers with the Village Clerk.
